After booking, you'll receive a questionnaire so you can share what matters most to you in those first hours with your baby. We'll coordinate the best date and time for our session once you go into labor or shortly after delivery.

Your Fresh 48 session is simple and unhurried. I spend about 30-45 minutes with you in your hospital room documenting your brand-new reality as it unfolds.
There's no pressure and no posing. Just your baby in your arms and the quiet magic of those first few hours. Whether you're tucked into the hospital bed or up and about, we can create beautiful images while respecting your limits.

A fee of $600 includes a 30-45 minute hospital session plus a gallery of 35+ images. We plan your photoshoot together with a prep guide and family questionnaire.
Upon receiving your gallery, your high-resolution images are available for instant download. You'll also have access to the online shop, which offers a curated selection of print products.

Fresh 48 sessions typically last about 30–45 minutes, just enough time to capture your new reality without overwhelming you.
q: how long does a fresh 48 Photoshoot last?
Yes! Fresh 48 Photos takes place in the hospital within the first 24-48 hours after your baby is born. It's a natural, unposed session that captures the tiny details and emotions of those very first hours together.
q: what are fresh 48 photos? Are they the same as hospital newborn photos?
I'll take note of your due date in the initial questionnaire and reach out around that time. Once you go into labor, or shortly after your baby arrives, you or your partner can reach out so we can schedule a date and time.
Q: how do we schedule fresh 48 photos?
I ask families to coordinate with their nurse so we can find 30-45 minutes of uninterrupted time. Nurses are wonderful and can usually make this happen! If something comes up, I'm happy to step outside the room for a few minutes until you are ready.
Q: WHAT IF THE BABY or I are BEING EXAMINED WHEN YOU COME?
Birth is beautifully unpredictable. Babies can come early or even a little late. In the unlikely event I’m unable to make it to your Fresh 48 session, your deposit will be applied toward any other session I offer, such as an in-home newborn session, so you’ll still have this special season documented.
Q: what if you can't make it to our fresh 48 session?
Yes! One of my favorite moments to capture is an older sibling meeting the baby for the first time. Grandparents or other family members are welcome to join for a few minutes as well.
Q: CAN SIBLINGS AND GRANDPARENTS BE INCLUDED in fresh 48 photos?
