As a Documentary Photographer, my mission is to provide you with photos of real moments of love and connection.

It doesn't matter where you are in the greater Los Angeles area: West Hollywood, Hancock Park, Cheviot Hills, Culver City...
I believe newborn photography should candidly capture all those special moments of your baby's first days from cozy cuddles with parents to those adorable sleepy stretches. As an LA Newborn Photographer, I'm here to make sure parents and families can hold on to all of the special moment's of your newborn.
Photographing you and your newborn in at at-home session is what gets me excited to go to work in the morning!
"We had the most wonderful experience with Marj Cohen when she documented our growing family! She has a wonderfully kind and joyful personality and we felt comfortable being completely ourselves throughout the shoot. Her exquisite photos capture the realness of our family and the reality of this time in our baby's life. No one has ever so perfectly captured our baby's spirit and essence and we will treasure these photos forever."

A: At the time of booking, you'll let me know your due date and we'll talk about when you want your session to take place. Some clients choose to do it days after birth, others prefer to wait a couple of weeks.
A: I don't set a time limit on my sessions. Instead, I take cues from the family. Typically a Newborn Session can last 1-2 hours, but that can change depending on the baby's feeding and nap schedule. I like to leave time for the unpredictables, like explosive poops!
A: Think of your Newborn Session as an opportunity to spend quality time with your family. Cuddle your baby, feed them a bottle, give your partner some love, and I will be there to capture it all.
A: I encourage families to hang out in whatever room they are most comfortable in. We tend to move around a bit, so I suggest having the nursery and your bedroom ready to go. I love capturing little babies on big beds!
Looking at your photos on a screen will never compare to the feeling of seeing them on your walls everyday, or flipping through the pages of an album with your children.
This is why I include print credit in each of my 3 collections you can choose from. Your print credit can be applied towards any product in the store. These are some of my favorite items.
